About the 10-inch Flare Cleat
- 10 inch cleat supports 50 pounds
- Each cleat is 1.25 inch tall. When interlocked the pair is 1.875 inches tall
- Aluminum cleat is 3/64 inch thick and made of aircraft-grade aluminum
- Wall standoff is 5/16 inch
- Holes are one inch on center and alternate from large to small hole. Alternating holes allow you to easily level the cleat and/or use larger screws in studs. Small screw hole accommodates up to #8 screw and large screw hole accommodates up to #12 screw
- You can cut aluminum cleats to smaller lengths with any carbide tip saw. Note, the weight supported is 60 pounds per linear foot of cleat
- The flare shape of the cleat makes it easier to engage the two cleats and allows some flexibility on non-plumb walls
